This is beautiful and wanted you to know how much I appreciate being on your dealer web page - the leads are coming in and we appreciate the opportunity to serve!
All the best!
Jeff Patterson ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Steve, I'd be delighted to help you with this project. I've actually got 2 Rumford fireplaces that I'm working on at the moment, so I'm in full "Rumford" mode. Please forward any sketches / design ideas you have. The whole trick to a Rumford fireplace is to ensure the draw works. The size of the flue liners, throat, and smoke chamber are determined by the opening size of the firebox. So, please let me know what size you visualize the firebox opening being. Also, for your design considerations, please understand that there needs to be 4" of masonry (4" CMU) surrounding the clay flue liners up the chimney. Yes, some work goes into the effective design of a Rumford fireplace; however, nothing good in life is easy. The cost will be a fraction of the cost of a traditional masonry fireplace, and the performance is much better as well. Thanks for your request. I look forward to being of assistance.

Mr. Patterson-
I'm an architect in Iowa City, and I'm designing a Tuscan-style winery
in Willey, Iowa. Our stone mason referred me to Buckley Rumford
fireplaces, and I saw on their website that you are one of their
dealers. If I were to send a set of preliminary drawings to you,
would you be able to give me a rough cost estimate?
Many thanks.
